For domestic departures from an active aircraft base such as Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru or Ahmedabad, we require a minimum call time of two hours after booking confirmation and completion of the required formalities to coordinate crew, flight preparation and departure arrangements.

International flights require additional lead time for permits and destination formalities. Air ambulance enquiries receive priority attention, with coordination beginning as soon as you contact us. Our experienced charter specialists manage short-notice requests closely and guide you through every step.

Please share your departure and arrival cities or airports, travel dates, preferred timings and passenger count. Include any special requirements, such as catering preferences, ground arrangements, wheelchair accessibility, medical equipment on board, pets or oversized baggage.

Our review continues beyond the initial assessment: relevant documents are retained and updated as they fall due, and the proposed aircraft’s suitability is checked for your itinerary. The licensed operator remains responsible for aircraft maintenance, crew compliance and the safe operation of the flight.

An empty leg becomes available when an aircraft needs to reposition without passengers. Excel Jet offers these flights on an exclusive, whole-aircraft basis; we do not sell individual seats.

Prices vary according to the aircraft, route, timing and the operator’s repositioning requirements, so there is no standard per-seat rate or fixed discount. Attractive savings may be available when your plans align with an existing movement. Empty legs can change or be cancelled if the underlying schedule changes; your consultant will explain the applicable terms and flexibility before you book.

There is no universal permit timeline. Requirements depend on the countries of departure, arrival and overflight, the aircraft’s registration, the nature of the flight and the airports involved.

Some straightforward arrangements may be processed within 48–72 hours, while others require several working days or longer. Special approvals, holidays and incomplete documentation can extend the process. Our operations team checks the requirements for your specific itinerary, coordinates applications with the operator and handling partners, and confirms the earliest feasible schedule. Urgent medical flights are assessed for expedited processing where available.
